There are some couples whose love simply radiates from them, and Jake and Grace are undoubtedly one of those couples.
From the moment I arrived on their wedding day, it was impossible not to notice the way they looked at one another with complete admiration, deep friendship, and a love that has only grown stronger over the past seven years. Every glance, every smile, and every dance shared throughout the evening told the story of two people who were always meant to be together.
A Love Story That Started in High School
Although Jake and Grace had known of each other since their freshman year of high school, it wasn't until their sophomore year that they truly met and began talking. What started as a friendship quickly blossomed into something much deeper, and seven years later, they stood hand in hand promising forever.
Their very first date was one for the books. As teenagers without driver's licenses, their parents had to drive them to see Bohemian Rhapsody at the movies. Little did they know that this simple date would become the beginning of a lifelong love story. The evening was especially fitting since they both shared a love for old music a passion that still brings them together today.
When it came time for Jake to propose, Grace thought she had it all figured out. She was certain the proposal would happen during an upcoming family beach vacation. Instead, Jake surprised her a week earlier on the front steps of their church. Despite having an entire speech prepared, the overwhelming emotion of the moment left him with only one simple question: "Will you marry me?" Grace, overcome with tears of joy, happily said yes.
Their beautiful Louisiana wedding began at Bayou Christian Church, where family and friends gathered to witness these high school sweethearts finally say "I do."

A Wedding Day Focused on What Truly Matters
One of my favorite parts about Jake and Grace's wedding day was how intentional and meaningful every moment felt.
The morning began in the sweetest way possible. Rather than rushing through the day, their families gathered together to set up decorations, share breakfast, and enjoy a calm and peaceful start before the celebrations began. It perfectly reflected who Jake and Grace are family-centered, genuine, and deeply grateful for the people surrounding them.
While beautiful details and aesthetics certainly added to the celebration, Jake and Grace both agreed that the moment they were most looking forward to was simply getting married. At the end of the day, nothing mattered more than beginning their marriage together.
Dancing the Night Away at The Foundry on the Bayou
Following their ceremony at Bayou Christian Church, guests made their way to The Foundry on the Bayou for an unforgettable reception filled with joy, laughter, and nonstop dancing.
If there is one thing guests will remember about Jake and Grace's wedding day, it's the energy on the dance floor.
These two absolutely danced the night away.
The love and excitement in the room were contagious as family and friends celebrated alongside the newlyweds. Every song seemed to bring even more laughter, more hugs, and more joyful moments. Jake and Grace wanted their guests to know just how special each and every one of them was, and that feeling was evident throughout the entire celebration.
CONGRATULATIONS, MR. AND MRS. Chauvin!
Watching these two together was truly something special. The way they look at each other speaks volumes a mixture of admiration, comfort, excitement, and unwavering love. It's clear that not only are they husband and wife, but they are also best friends.
Their wedding day wasn't simply beautiful; it was full of heart.
Jake and Grace, thank you for allowing me to capture the beginning of this incredible new chapter. Your love story is one that inspires everyone around you, and I have no doubt that your future together will be filled with just as much joy, laughter, music, and dancing as your wedding day.
